Pig Farm brings a joyful, glowing herd to Light Up Lancaster — six ride-on sculptures crafted from upcycled water barrels by Czech artists. Each pig invites visitors to hop on and set it swaying, while a tap on the back triggers a colour change from soft white to vibrant pink.

 

Like the festival’s theme of the fleeting and ephemeral, each glowing moment, each burst of colour, each ride is here and gone — a brief spark of connection between visitor and artwork before it fades and begins again.

 

Playful, tactile and irresistibly photogenic, Pig Farm turns discarded industrial materials into a joyful reminder that beauty, like light, is best enjoyed in the moment.
