Veil is an immersive laser light and sound installation weaving Lancashire folklore, local stories, ancient songs, and the region’s deep history into an unfolding experience. Set within the courtyard of Lancaster Castle, beams of laser light drift and shimmer overhead, merging with an ethereal soundscape crafted by artist and sound therapist Flolux.

This fusion of light and sound envelops visitors in a vibrant sensory experience that connects past and present. Designed as a large-scale, meditative work, Veil encourages deep reflection and healing, revealing hidden stories and forgotten truths. It delicately navigates the space between what is seen and unseen, presence and absence, inviting guests into liminal realms where history and memory softly intertwine.
