The Wyrm of Trowbarrow
Myth, legend and the wild imaginations of children make for an eyecatching lantern parade!
A brilliantly conceived project, the Wyrm of Trowbarrow is a fantastical and colourful giant serpent, created by 4 local schools. Created by 120 children working with artists Shane Johnstone & Anna Read, the Wyrm will parade through the city centre, starting from St Nics and then parading through the pedestrianised zone around Horseshoe Corner.
Watch out for the Wyrm, made by youngsters from Arnside National Primary School, Archbishop Hutton’s V.C. Primary School, Morecambe Bay Community Primary School and Ryelands Primary & Nursery School, from 5.30pm to 7pm.
Location: Parading from St Nics Arcade around Horseshoe Corner
